DAV College Managing Committee is the executive body of the DAV trust and management society. It conducts the day to day affairs of the society and controls the administration of all the DAV Institutions in India and abroad. The DAV College Managing Committee is the largest non-governmental organization covering the entire spectrum of educational activity across the length of the country.
DAV College Managing committee has 125 years long glorious history in the field of education and is managing over 750 educational Institutions. DAV CMC has contributed immensely to nation-building by pioneering private initiative in education.
The managing committee is empowered to chalk all the plans, policies and programmes regarding the financial and academic affairs of the DAV Institutions. The DAV has established reputation for academic excellence and character building. Every year thousands of students pass out of these institutions and distinguish themselves in various national and international platforms. DAV boasts of three Prime Ministers, two Vice Presidents, renowned scientists, judges, defense personals, leading sport persons, artists, and singers.
Headquarted in Delhi, its democratically elected hierarchy has the President at the top of the administration pyramid. The present President Shri Punam Suri is a noted educationist and socialist.
He is assisted by a team of luminaries including eminent Judges, scientists, academicians, business tycoons and journalists etc. who unfold an extensive pool of knowledge to facilitate the management.
Besides academics, DAV also supports and serves social objectives relating to dowry, AIDS, environmental protection, female feticide, child labor, and drug abuse and women empowerment. DAV has been actively partnering national activities of social upliftment and national growth.
